Grants the CFP®
FPSB China is the successor of FPSCC( Financial Planning Standards Coucil of China) which is the sole organization with the rights to manage CFP Certification program and use the CFP trademark in mainland China according to the license agreement signed with FPSB in August, 2005.
According to the Affiliation and License Agreement between FPSB Ltd. and FPSB China Ltd. (Shanghai) signed in February 2009, FPSCC transformed into FPSB China Ltd. and FPSB China Advisory Panel to take on all the responsibilities and rights between FPSCC and FPSB.
FPSB China Advisory Panel (FPSB-CAP) consists of a group of honorable professionals with high academic status, with strong sense of social responsibility and enthusiasm in financial planning. The FPSB-CAP represents FPSB in advising and supervising the operation of FPSB China Ltd. to manage, develop and operate certification, education and related programs in mainland China.
The present chairman of FPSB-CAP is Professor Liu Hongru and vice chairmen are Dr. Zhang Furong and Dr. Cai Zhongzhi. FPSB China Ltd. is responsible for the operation of the CFP certification program in China. The present Chairman is Dr. Liu Feng and the CEO is Mr. Xue Hong.
During the past 5 years, CFP Certification Program has achieved great success in China. Considering China’s local circumstance, FPSB China established AFP\EFP\CPB program which has been approved by FPSB and has been incorporated into the CFP certification program.
As of December 31st, 2009, the number of CFP professionals reached 6,139, AFP professionals 43,586, and EFP professionals 1,314. In the first CPB Certification Exam in August 2010, there are 168 candidates who have passed the exam and will become the 1st group of CPB Professionals in China. The number of CFP professionals in China ranked No. 4 among all the 23 FPSB affiliates.
